Natura World’s MediWedge™ Foundation Reduces Sleep Disturbances

By: Christopher Schriever

Natura World’s MediWedge alleviates common sleep disturbances with an inclined base allowing sleepers to breathe easier and more comfortably by naturally positioning the body to open breathing passages. The product’s patented, elevated design uses gravity to reduce the effects of nighttime sleep apnea, acid indigestion and is recognized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).

The 2.86-degree inclined MediWedge uses gravity to keep the stomach fluids from entering the sleeper’s esophagus. Consumers suffering from reflux and other stomach ailments often find that a flat foundation causes their stomach to fold, making their acid reflux worse. MediWedge allows the consumer to sleep on their back, side or stomach comfortably without causing this complication.

“Throughout our history, Natura World has always been committed to finding natural solutions to common sleep disturbances, including a variety of health issues. The MediWedge is yet another example of a simple solution for many consumers without them having to resort to more complicated machinery or drugs in order to get a restful night’s sleep,” said Natura World CEO Ralph Rossdeutscher.

MediWedge foundations can be used with any mattress and are are available in 4” or 10” profiles. The foundations retail from $480 to $600 in queen size.
