Gel Propels Sealy, Stearns & Foster at High Point Market

Gel memory foam topped the bill at the recent High Point Market and its popularity is proving strong enough to help propel a 167-year old brand into the national spotlight.

Sealy used the show this October to focus on its gel technology. The new Sealy Brand mattresses will be promoting a cool night’s sleep with its exclusive Gel Orthozone® II Comfort Foam. Stearns & Foster, meanwhile, is redefining luxury bedding with the launch of its ClimaSense™ gel memory foam in the Estate Innerspring Collection.

A Luxury Feel For Every Brand

Released in August 2013, the new Sealy Brand mattresses feature Gel OrthoZone II Comfort Foam, a proprietary layer of engineered gel foam designed to help promote a cooler sleeping environment. Gel has been causing a stir in the market as consumers learn more about the benefits of the innovative technology and more people are asking for it in retail stores. To ensure every customer has access to this exciting development in mattress technology, Sealy extended gel memory foam across its entire brand portfolio.

Gel Success Pushes Stearns & Foster® Into The Spotlight

Stearns & Foster’s new Estate Collection with ClimaSense™ gel memory foam was developed exclusively for Stearns & Foster and delivers all the benefits of gel memory foam, along with the quality and craftsmanship consumers have come to expect from the Stearns & Foster brand.

The success of gel across the Sealy portfolio convinced Sealy that the Stearns & Foster Estate Collection with ClimaSense gel memory foam should be a focus for a national consumer campaign for the luxury mattress brand. The campaign will demonstrate the brand’s core messages of quality, tradition and craftsmanship, while introducing its ClimaSense™ gel memory foam nationally. “We continue putting time and resources against evolving Stearns & Foster from its proud past to a premiere future,” said Allen.

There will be two national promotions in the fourth quarter of 2013 for the new Gel Estate collection. The first will run in November and cover Veterans Day, Black Friday and end on Cyber Monday. The second campaign will start in December and run through January 2014. During the promotions, customers will be able to save $500 on all Gel Estate mattresses by Stearns & Foster.
