Comfort Solutions Starts 2013 with New Lines, Designs and Fresh Looks

Comfort Solutions is bringing to market a sweeping presentation of new mattress lines including the Perfect Contour® and Posture Sense® collections.

“Our presentation this market is about giving dealers more choice between specialty, hybrid and traditional designs across our branded mattress collections,” noted company president and COO Dave Roberts. “It’s also about enlivening retail sales floors with dramatic, standout mattress presentations whose distinctive looks and fresh colors will attract, excite and compel consumers to buy.”

The revamped Perfect Contour line has been re-targeted to appeal to today’s fit, health-conscious consumers shopping for a quality, performance driven mattress under $2,000, Roberts explained.

The new five-model specialty collection combines a high-density foam core with comfort layers that include latex, latex gel foams and gel memory foams.

Inspired by contemporary sportswear designs and colors, Perfect Contour beds have stretch knit top panels, stretch mesh side treatments, diagonal handles and color treatments that lend an energetic feel to the line. Depending on the model, each mattress is crisply accented in gray-blue, navy, neon green or magenta—vivid, popular colors in current athletic apparel which retailers can opt to mix or match.

Expected to retail from $799 to $1,299 in queen, Roberts said the Perfect Contour mattresses “are designed to attract athletic consumers who value a healthy night’s sleep but also have budget in mind.”

The collection includes coordinated top-of-bed dressings and POS materials that carry health and fitness themes like “Play hard,” “Revive,” and “Live life to the fullest” and will be backed by a clever social media campaign to be presented at market, advising consumers to “Sleep, Eat, Sweat, Repeat.”

Based on the success of hybrid models in its other lines, Comfort Solutions will also present a new hybrid innerspring line called Posture Sense Response.

The four new Posture Sense Response mattresses—to retail from $799 to $1,299 in queen—use a foam-encased, wrapped coil unit in combination with a variety of gel memory foam layers. The top number in the collection incorporates both latex and gel memory foam. All models in the new series will be shown in cream and soothing spa color combinations.

Roberts pointed out that the new Response beds and their innerspring cousins, when viewed with the company’s Perfect Contour all-foam line, give retailers “a diverse selection of hybrid, traditional, and specialty products.”

“To compete effectively today, mattress retailers need from their resources a well-rounded assortment of constructions, designs, looks and prices,” Roberts added. “Meeting that need is a big part of our marketing strategy for the New Year.”
