Classic Brands Expands Coppersmart Collection And Urban Loft Hybrid Line

March 11, 2024

Taking advantage of the increased consumer appetite for technologically advanced fabrics in bedding, Classic Brands is showcasing its new CopperSmart and Urban Loft Hybrid collections at the Winter Las Vegas Market. After a successful introduction last market, the company will expand its CopperSmart Collection from one bed to include four models featuring copper-infused materials. Classic Brands is also bolstering its Urban Loft brand with hybrid additions that incorporate “ice-cold” phase-change material to deliver a cooler night’s sleep.

Classic Brands has been on the forefront of innovation in incorporating copper and other beneficial elements into its sleep line. Known for delivering health benefits, copper is said to offer anti-inflammatory properties and help rid the body of free radicals.

“CopperSmart beds have a great story that resonates with consumers looking to wake completely restored with the benefits the copper delivers though the night,” said Michael Zippelli, president and CEO of Classic Brands. “Our commitment to developing unique products with newly uncovered components remains key in our product development strategy, and this collection delivers on that promise.”

The CopperSmart Collection features 8-inch, 10.5-inch, 12-inch and 14-inch profile gel memory foam mattresses dressed in a quilted, stretch-knit cover woven with copper-infused yarn. Each bed has varying amounts of gel memory foam combined with varying amounts of poly foam. The mattresses are priced to retail from $499 to $999 in queen.

Designed to capitalize on the increased consumer interest in hybrid mattresses, Classic Brands’ new, four-model Urban Loft Hybrid Blue line features a combination of specialty memory foam over high-coil count foam-encased coils for a supportive feel. Offered as 12.5-inch profile, 11.5-inch profiles and two 10.5-inch profile mattresses, the Urban Loft Hybrid Blue designs are priced to retail from $599 to $999 in queen.

“We continue to see more and more interest in hybrid construction and when those designs feature a cooling aspect, sales are almost automatic,” said Zippelli. “The phase-change material is cool-to-the-touch and provides an enhanced experience that keeps consumers both cool and fresh while delivering maximum support for a comfortable night’s sleep.”

The Urban Loft brand has been a strong line and has continued to grow since Classic introduced it in 2015. Incorporating a wide selection of mattress collections— including Hybrid Black and Specialty—the Urban Loft brand gives retailers an easily merchandised line.

Zippelli concluded that Classic Brands “continue[s] to integrate beneficial, creative fabrics into our products to arm retail sales associates with relevant talking points on the showroom floor.”
