Talalay Global has appointed marketing veteran and business entrepreneur Jim Huffstetler to the post of Vice President of Marketing, reporting to company president and COO Kim Fisher. Huffstetler, who has worked with many marquee consumer brands including The Sleep Number Bed, is charged with growing awareness and recognition of the Talalay brand among consumers, and opening new distribution channels for the ultra-luxury bedding component.
“Jim’s experience not only in marketing and branding but in founding and managing businesses, is exactly what we were looking for to drive the mission we’ve set for Talalay Global,” noted Fisher. “Our objective over time is to continue building the number of consumers who recognize the Talalay brand, understand its unique benefits and seek out retailers that offer Talalay in their bedding products. To accomplish that, we’ll be substantially ramping up our marketing communications on Talalay.”
Huffstetler, who lives in nearby Litchfield, Conn., was most recently co-founder of an innovative consumer cleaning products company – Zero Odor LLC.
Between 2002 and 2011, Huffstetler co-founded Free Enterprise LLC, a wellness brands ad agency, serving clients such as The Sleep Number Bed and WebMD. Prior to that, he worked for several prominent New York City ad agencies on consumer brands accounts such as Philips Electronics, Visa PLUS, Merrill Lynch, Fox News Channel and Hallmark Cards.
