Soft-Tex To Showcase Trending Products At NYC Market

At the upcoming New York Home Furnishings Market, Soft-Tex will highlight five key trends in its showroom. From cooling and wellness, eco-friendly and natural products to the company's latest licensed brands and its new total bedroom in a box offering, the brand used data to inform its market trend predictions.

"If you know me, you probably know how I feel about cooling technologies and how they are the key technology for bedding. While I still feel cooling is the most important trend, after closely watching search volume on key retailers and search engines, a few others have emerged which are starting to peak customer interest which you can see in our showroom this market," said Jeff Chilton, CEO, Soft-Tex International.

The brand anticipates that the following trends will be big at the upcoming NYC based market and as a result, will be providing solutions that fit into each distinctive product category:

  • Cooling

The Soft-Tex showroom will feature the latest fabric, fill, memory foam and other cooling innovations. Its latest innovation is the Cool Coat, a technique where a thin layer of cooling gel is applied to memory foam after the foam has cured to help heat dissipate faster.

  • Wellness

Wellness is truly a buzzword among consumers right now. At this market, Soft-Tex will address the growth of this category by its Wellness collection with products infused with copper, silver, graphite, charcoal, and aloe vera all of which offer properties contributing to health and wellbeing.

  • Natural / Eco-Friendly

Offering natural / eco-friendly products made from recycled, organic, and/or natural materials, Soft-Tex will showcase a robust portfolio of pillow and mattress pads filled with recycled fibers (such as Repreve and Sorona fibers) and featuring an organic cotton cover.

  • New Licensed Brands

Soft-Tex will also highlight its new collections of products under Tommy Bahama and Restonic.

  • Total Bedroom-in-a-Box

After introducing a collection of solid wood, easy-to-assemble bedroom furniture earlier this year, Soft-Tex is introducing the "total bedroom" in a box by creating new bundles of furniture items with mattresses and other basic bedding accessories included. The brand will also display new dorm essential bundles.
