Restonic has been supporting the dreams of its retail partners for almost 80 years and at the Home Furnishings Alliance Networking Conference in San Antonio, they gave back to retailers in an entertaining way.
As retailers arrived, they were given a cowboy hat that lit up with one of three settings. They were invited to wear their hat at the opening night’s kick-off celebration for a chance to win an unknown prize. Later that afternoon, as retailers made their way to the opening barbeque, the halls were ablaze with blinking cowboy hats. All retailers who wore their hat were eligible to win.
During the celebration, Restonic President and CEO Ron Passaglia and Brand Director Julia Rosien drew Alyssa Henry’s name (from Hudson’s Furniture in Florida) from a hat. She was presented with an oversized check for $1,500. Rumor has it that Hudson’s Furniture shipped the check back to their store to commemorate the win.
“We’re happy to support the retail community of HFA and the cowboy hats were a way to salute the venue in the state of Texas while having a little fun with the blinking rims,” said Passaglia. “The prize of $1,500 gave retailers a reason to join in the event in an out-of-the-box way and connect with each other through conversations about their crazy cowboy hats.”
