Protect-A-Bed recently hosted its 10th Annual International Conference, adding yet another successful event in a year marked by worldwide growth across multiple categories. In 2017 alone, the company has celebrated the introduction of the Grow the Retail Basket campaign, the announcement of REM-Fit Brands Stores, the release of ZEEQ Smart Pillow and Sleep Tailor in-store technology.
Conference attendees were provided key insights through presentations by long-time Protect-A-Bed retailer partners from Sleep Country Canada and Nebraska Furniture Mart. “We are all in business together,” said Protect-A-Bed CEO, James Bell. “It’s important for our partners, distributors, and ourselves to share knowledge in the effort to continue our tremendous growth.”
The event, which featured 36 attendees from across the globe, was highlighted by recognition of five outstanding partners. Presented during a special partner appreciation dinner at the Chicago Sports Museum, among displays and artifacts from Chicago sports legends, the “Big 5 Distinguished Partner Awards” acknowledged the impressive accomplishments of the following organizations:
- Protect-A-Bed, South Korea: Award accepted by Sang Moon
- Protect-A-Bed, UAE: Award accepted by Ashok Sharma, Abishek Sharma and Akshat Sharma
- Protect-A-Bed, Indonesia: Award accepted by Jeffri Massi, Raymond Arief and Fanny Trisnawati
- Sleep Country Canada: Award accepted by Dave Friesema
- Nebraska Furniture Mart: Award accepted by Rodney Rahl
“We are proud to create an award that recognizes valued partners who truly embody the Protect-A-Bed brand’s hallmarks of passion, innovation and expertise,” Bell continued. “We also wanted to show our appreciation for vital components that round out a well-run organization. These include being a team player and exercising valor in their day to day interactions. We feel the Big 5 Distinguished Partner Awards accomplishes that, and our first five recipients couldn’t be more deserving.”
“The future of bedding looks bright, not only here, but around the world,” added John Rachid, President, Protect-A-Bed. “When you offer quality, thoughtfully-designed products that truly solve consumer pain points, and bring them to market through capable, service-focused organizations, it’s a recipe for success.”
