Organic Mattresses, Inc. (OMI) has appointed 10 new independent sales representatives to increase the company’s presence to retailers across North America. The move is part of OMI’s strategy to bring organic and natural sleep products to consumers looking to lead a healthier lifestyle by replacing or reducing the chemicals in their homes.
“The organic and natural movement’s time has come to the mattresses category,” said OMI’s Chief Executive Officer Kurt Ling. “Given our tremendous success at the Las Vegas Winter market and the increasing demand for natural and organic products in many product categories across the nation, we need a sales force to service our existing and new dealer base, train retail sales associates and establish a retail structure in the dozens of markets that have consumers that have a high propensity to buy organic and natural products where there are no existing retailers offering them.”
The new members of the team will report to OMI’s Senior Vice President of Sales Steve Baumberger. The team includes John Lowrence (WA, OR, ID), Justin Trumbo (MW-NW), Gord Bennett (Ontario), Lee Spahn (MD, DE, East PA & VA), Doug Turner (AZ, NM, CO), Mitch Barclay (TX), Mark Fillhouer (MN,ND,SD,WI), Bill Harwood (OK), Sidney Dassinger (GA, TN, SC), and Tim Thompson (MI).
“We reached out to retailers and asked who was ‘best in class’ sales representatives in their regions and have selected a number of successful independent sales representatives that see the potential the organic and natural movement and could best represent the OrganicPedic brand,” Ling continued. “This team will provide the manpower we need to continue to build out the organic markets already established across the nation, while tapping into one of the fastest growing segments in the industry.”
