OMI Changes Leadership to Refocus On Luxury Organic Segment

Organic Mattresses, Inc. (OMI) is refocusing its product development and sales efforts on its traditional range of luxury, organic products. The company will shift investments from more moderately priced SKUs introduced last year back onto its Classic and 81 collections, which range in price from $3,795 to $10,995.

As a part of the re-direction in strategy, the company announced that CEO Kurt Ling and Senior Vice President of Sales Steve Baumberger are no longer with the company. Walt Bader, founder and chairman, has returned as CEO.

“Our most successful dealers were resistant to the change in strategy and were passionate that we stay focused on our core competency, luxury, organic products,”  said Bader. “Our business has never been about the mass market, and after careful analysis we decided to return to our comfort zone,”
