Naturepedic recently participated in a roundtable discussion regarding the inappropriate use of various chemicals in consumer products and potential initiatives to reduce such practices. The roundtable included representatives of the U.S.EPA, the White House Council on Environmental Quality, the American Sustainable Business Council, and consumer product manufacturers.
Naturepedic was one of five consumer product manufacturers invited along with brands such as Seventh Generation and Method Products, all of whom represent manufacturers who have excelled in focusing on the identification and elimination of questionable chemicals in consumer products. Barry A. Cik, Naturepedic’s founder and technical director, who is a Board Certified Environmental Engineer with thirty years experience in chemical contamination issues, and David Anthony, Naturepedic’s Director of Government Affairs, who is an environmental attorney represented Naturepedic at the conference meeting.
The roundtable was held on Thursday February 6, 2014 at the White House Executive Office Building in Washington, D.C.
