Leggett & Platt is sending three Sleep Geeks to a national bedding conference to participate in a panel discussion on lessons bedding industry leaders can learn from retail sales associates.
The panel will feature Victoria Brown Patterson, store manager with MurMaid Mattress in Chattanooga, Tenn., Dr. Shari Peck, store manager and chiropractor with Mattress Firm in Naples, Fla., and Collin Cook, retail sales associate with Blacker’s in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Leggett & Platt’s Mark Quinn will lead the panel discussion and reveal the results of a national survey that gathered feedback from retail sales associates. “Our goal is to show the bedding industry how much we need to be listening to RSAs. They are our closest connection to customers, and it’s crucial to make sure we learn from them and understand the issues they are facing,” Quinn said.
The dynamic panel presentation will go beyond one-way communication by utilizing an audience response system. In real-time, Quinn will ask the audience’s opinion on certain topics and show the results on a large screen. On that same screen, the responses will be compared to the results from RSAs. “Do industry leaders really know what their employees think? Are we in touch with issues facing retail sales associates? We hope the live polling will give the audience some valuable insights. Also, it should be a lot of fun,” said Quinn.
The conference is being held in Aventura, Fla., June 6-8 at the Turnberry Isle Miami Resort.
