Former Retail Exec Joins Gold Bond To Lead Key Accounts

March 10, 2024

Gold Bond Mattress has appointed Ken Mazda to the newly created position of vice president of key accounts. With several decades experience as a senior executive with leading sleeps retailers, Mazda is considered one of the top merchants in the category.

In his new role, Mazda will focus on working with key accounts for the independent mattress manufacturer throughout the nation to increase traffic and sales.

Mazda most recently was general manager of The Dump in Philadelphia. Prior to that position, he was president of America’s Mattress—Philadelphia, a six-store chain, was vice president of 1800mattress and president/chief executive officer of Nationwide Discount Sleep Centers, a 60-store chain in the Philadelphia area with 250 employees.

“Ken is a master retailer that really understands how to merchandise the selling floor and maximize traffic and profit. He is a great addition to our team because he can work with our retailers to grow their business through innovative product selection, marketing and sales training,” said Gold Bond President Robert Naboicheck.

“There has never been a time of greater opportunity for strong independent manufacturers like Gold Bond. While larger manufacturers are distracted by several significant challenges and Chinese importers are being squeezed by tariffs, strong domestic manufacturers like our company can really provide great value, quality and service to retailers,” said Mazda.
