Dormeo Octaspring® has appointed Dany Sfeir as its Chief Marketing Officer for North American operations. Sfeir has more than 20 years experience of senior level brand building experience at major advertising agencies, as well as being widely credited with the successful launch of the Tempur-Pedic brand in the United States.
“We are very pleased to have Dany join our global operations as Chief Marketing Officer of North America. Dany’s exceptional ability to build brand awareness in the US mattress industry is well documented and we look forward to him creating even more “marketing magic” with Dormeo Octaspring in the US and Canada. Our global success is driven by a first class group of international multi-channel marketers so Dany’s appointment is the perfect fit,” said Kym Bramm CEO Studio Moderna Brands International.
“Dany is the most dynamic marketing executive the sleep products industry has seen in a very long time. His direct response skill in building the leading memory foam brand is unmatched in our industry and we are thrilled to have him on our team,” said Dormeo Octaspring President North American Retail Sales Chris Henning. “As we look to build our brand in the United States & Canada, there is no one more qualified than Dany to lead that charge.”
Most recently, Sfeir has been a branding and marketing consultant to several large corporations. Prior to that position he was senior vice president of marketing for Tempur-Pedic worldwide as well as president of Tempur-Pedic Direct Response Inc., the subsidiary of the company responsible for direct marketing, sales and advertising.
His in-depth familiarity with television, radio, print, direct mail, digital and web technologies helped create programs that led to Tempur-Pedic’s enormous direct response growth and the worldwide brand recognition the company enjoys today.
Sfeir began his career in 1989, working at marketing firms such as BMG Direct Marketing, NextStep Marketing and Ogilvy & Mather Direct. He later served as a key marketing and advertising executive at companies such as NordicTrack, Jostens-Direct and Select Comfort. Over the course of his career, Sfeir has provided consulting services to various companies in a number of industries ranging from sports and memorabilia, cosmetics, health and fitness and food services. Sfeir’s broad experience has made him a sought after speaker, seminar leader and panellist.
“Dormeo Octaspring uses new, cutting-edge technologies designed to revolutionize sleep and I am excited to be a part of its senior leadership team. We are poised for great success and I look forward to starting work with our customers. Creating a strong marketing and advertising support system further differentiates us in the marketplace and energizes sales for our retail partners,” Sfeir added.
