Looking to capture a larger segment of the sleep accessories business, Southerland is unveiling the Ionic Sleep System at the Winter Las Vegas Market. This new line features pillows, mattress protectors and sheets that are infused with copper ions, offering benefits ranging from odor control to improved hygiene and overall skin wellness.
With copper ions woven directly into the cotton fabric, the Ionic Sleep System delivers a cool, comfortable and healthy sleeping environment. In addition to offering antimicrobial properties, copper has been thought to benefit circulation, act as an anti-inflammatory and deliver anti-oxidant properties. Sleep products made using copper are said to offer a number of benefits, including odor control, improved hygiene, improved skin texture, skin tone and overall skin wellness for the consumer.
“This is the wonder fiber for sleep products,” said Bryan Smith, president and CEO of Southerland. “Copper has a great health-benefit story to it and studies have shown it helps remove toxins from the body. We’re bringing in fabrics with benefits for our sleep accessories line that complement our Ionic Sleep Systems mattress line, and we look forward to expanding the selection as new, more innovative fibers continue to be developed.”
The collection will feature four pillows made of latex and memory foam, one mattress protector and two sheet sets. Pillows are priced to retail from $99 to $159, while the mattress protector retails at $79. The luxurious sheet sets will retail between at $149 and $199, and are available in Split King and Split Cal-King sizes to accommodate all adjustable bed bases.
